I am currently trying to grow moringa, as it has many health benefits, but its a little tricky to get started at home & in my climate. I'm always interested to hear how others are making it work.
In their book "The Biblio Diet" by Jordan Rubin & Dr. Josh Axe, they talk about a Healing Leaves Tea/Infusion made from the leaves of fruit trees. They have been known to heal, or greatly improve, various health conditions & diseases. Some mentioned are; cancer, dementia, kidney stones, cardio-vascular disease, psoriasis, eczema, infections, diabetes, & more. Some of the fruit tree leaves that they suggest using are mulberry, kiwi, lime, grape, guava, moringa, fig, avocado, mango, olive, soursop, & raspberry. Each plant offers specific benefits, so make sure you take a little bit of dried leaves (preferably a Tbsp.) from each of the 12 trees; Add into a pot with 2 1/2 quarts of clean fresh water & bring to a boil; Simmer for 12-15 mins. Remove from heat, cover & let stand for at least 20 mins. Strain leaves & pour into glass quart jars. Recommended usage is to consume 16-32 ounces per day as needed. You can drink it cold or hot, add honey or monkfruit if needed. You can make a batch as often as you'd like, for your condition. Maybe keep a journal on how you're feeling after starting to drink the Infusion. I have just rounded up all my leaves - some from a local herbalist & the others I had to order organic, off of Amazon, so unless you have access to local fruit farms, you may need to order online (organic is preferred). I'm excited to make my first batch... I'll keep ya posted.
I recommend purchasing this great & informative book. It talks all about eating how God intended us to eat. You can find it at your local Christian Book Store if you have one nearby, or from Amazon.
